IT Support Specialist

This position will be working from home with significant local travel to Prelude supported facilities, with potential overnight trips.

As the IT Support Specialist, reporting to the Desktop and Remote Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to desktop and network users by responding to requests submitted to the service desk, providing on-site technical support, training client staff as appropriate, and responsible for providing basic on-site telecommunications, applications and network infrastructure support.

You will need:

  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in desktop support and configuration.
  • Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • General network hardware knowledge (switches, routers, UPS).
  • Basic understanding of Windows server operating systems and understanding of swapping out server components.
  • Basic TCP/IP knowledge
  • Working knowledge of VOIP.
